Despite strong competition, Faiveley Transport, member of the best partner programme of Hyundai Rotem, has won a significant order for the Matangi EMU Project to be delivered in Wellington, New Zealand.
The contract is for the supply of brake control, bogie brake and air generation equipment for 45 two car train sets. Delivery will start in April 2009 and will be completed in early 2010.
This is a key step for Faiveley Transport in building a strong relationship with Hyundai Rotem, a fast growing car builder.
Faiveley Transport’s competitive and reliable solutions are increasingly successful in the Asia Pacific region, for example Line 2 and 6 of the Shanghai Metro where Faiveley Transport is supplying doors, HVAC and brake systems. Besides the booming Chinese market, Korea and India are also becoming important markets for Faiveley Transport, thanks to its long tradition of innovation and experience which is driving growth. |
