19 Swiss trains, RE460, are now fitted with the Faiveley Transport’s AX-NG pantographs enabling the federal railways, SBB-CFF, to operate a passenger service up to 200KPH.

Thanks to the performance of these unique pantographs, the RE460 trains are now officially certified to circulate, without any restriction, in simple or double units, on high speed tracks.

This certification has been granted following three years of testing on all of the critical points of the network, which is equipped with both flexible and rigid catenary systems.

This is the result of a fruitful partnership between SBB-CFF’s technical services and Faiveley Transport’s pantograph experts.

Once again, this success demonstrates Faiveley’s quality know-how in terms of current collection in particularly difficult conditions.
