Faiveley Transport is proud to be associated with the new Singapore metro project by having secured a major contract for the design, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning of 796 platform doors.

Under the umbrella of its direct customer, Westinghouse Signal (Invensys Rail Group), Faiveley Transport will equip Singapore’s new Down Town Line with its reputable, unique, state of the art platform door solution.

Many of Faiveley’s rolling stock systems, such as on-board access doors, brakes and couplers have already been successfully running for many years on the Singapore Land Transport Authority’s train network, however this is the first time that Faiveley has been chosen to supply the platform doors.

The very nature of the contract and Faiveley’s long term commitment to Singapore are further illustrated by the establishment of a new and permanent Faiveley entity, Faiveley Transport Metro Technology (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. This significantly contributes to further re-enforce Faiveley’s strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
