The Paris transit authority (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens, RATP) has selected Faiveley Transport's Electronics Division to develop and manufacture video-protection equipment (recorders and visual displays), for use on its 126 new MF2000 trains, lines 5 and 9.
This major order calls on cutting-edge techniques and technologies developed by Faiveley to meet the RATP's precise specifications. It also complies with current regulations on video recording in public areas.
For 14 years Faiveley has closely monitored the development of technology and been a major player in the dynamic video-protection market for public-transport vehicles. Now Faiveley has combined LCD touch screens, H.264 video compression and recording to secure hard drive or flash drive, IP Ethernet connectivity, power-line communications and other technologies into a single product. This feat is sure to boost growth in our Electronics Division. |
