Faiveley Transport confirms it has entered into a framework agreement with MTZ Transmash (Russia).
On January 21, 2009 in Paris, a Frame Work Agreement was signed between two world leading producers of brake equipment – OAO MTZ TRANSMASH and FAIVELEY TRANSPORT. The agreement was signed by Mr. Nikolay Yegorenkov, Managing Director of the company OAO MTZ TRANSMASH, and Mr. Robert Joyeux, Managing Director of the company FAIVELEY TRANSPORT.
In accordance with the Agreement, the joint-venture concerns the development, manufacturing and sales of brake systems for rolling stock in the CIS countries, the Baltic States and for the Russian Railways.
This co-operation is a key step for both parties in developing the commercial activity in this region; the partnership will be in a very strong position to meet international standards and provide global clients with state of the art braking equipment.
Mr. Yegorenkov and Mr. Joyeux joined together in a closing speech where they agreed that the association of these two activities from Russia and West Europe will bring countless benefits, particularly in the area of technical innovation and development.
