Faiveley Transport becomes 100% owner of Lekov, its Czech subsidiary, by acquiring the remaining 25% capital
Faiveley Transport first acquired 75% of Lekov, a specialist in electromechanic solutions for the railway industry, based in the Czech Republic, 9 years ago in December 2002. The Group has now purchased a further 25% and Faiveley Transport Lekov becomes a 100% wholly owned subsidiary. Faiveley Transport Lekov is the centre of competence for pantographs and associated electromechanical equipment within the Group, with 270 employees and sales of €24 million.
This acquisition is part of the overall strategy of integrating electronics and electromechanics, which began last year with the creation of the activity, Power, Information & Control. The objective of integrating components and sub systems into one system offering, is to enable the Faiveley Transport Group to manage the power on a train through all stages, starting with current collection through to energy conversion, distribution and energy storage (excluding traction).
The Faiveley Transport Group is expanding the range of systems within the Power, Information and Control activity to propose new integrated solutions to customers worldwide.
