The role of a Key Commodity Manager is to structure the building of the supplier panel for one or more commodities and
ensure the overall productivity and strategy of the panel.
Responsibilities:
Structure the building of the panel: participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy
for assigned commodities, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria
▪ Panel management: ensure a regular follow-up of the supplier performance in relation with the Supplier Quality
Assurance Manager and implement a supplier’s reduction plan consistent with in coordination with the Corporate
Commodity lead Buyer
▪ Manage the global suppliers productivity
▪ Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity
▪ Negotiate and implement general agreements with the main suppliers
▪ Ensure the usage of the panel by project buyers
▪ Ensure the reporting of his or her activities following defined policies
▪ Responsible of the Supplier panel results on Quality / Deliveries and Cost
